Huntington Beach, Calif. - Rustler Women's water polo opened their home and Orange Empire Conference season play with a 17-5 win over Cypress College.

Golden West (5-0, 1-0) was quickly on the scoreboard thanks to the work of Isabella Magno. Magno would eventually tally up 5 goals for the Rustlers, leading the team in scoring.  Sophmore Angel Sanchez completed her hat trick in the first two quarters, while freshman Julie Luna would net 3 for Golden West in the first, second and fourth quarter.

Leading the Chargers (1-5, 0-1) with a her own hat trick was Ariel Burnes, with teammates Casey Burke and Emily Allen chipping in one each.  

The women play at home again on Wednesday, September 23rd when they will host Riverside City College at 3:00 PM.
