Huntington Beach, Calif. -  The No. 4 seed Golden West beat up the #5 seed Orange Coast College 14-4 in the second round of Southern California Regional Championships.

The Rustlers who just beat Orange Coast last week for their third place finish in conference championships thrashed the defense all game. Golden West found scoring opportunities early and often as they built a 4-1 lead at the end of the first quarter and a 7-2 lead at halftime. Rheanna Lawrence and Isabella Magno lead the charge as they each netted two goals in the half.

The Rustler offense kept their foot on the accelerator netting seven more goals in the second half. The defense stayed focused and goalie Kailyn Zwaagstra saved 11 of the possible 15 shots.

With the win the Rustlers move on to the semifinals against #1 seed Santa Barbara College Saturday, Nov. 12 at 8:30AM
