Ontario, Calif. - Rustler Cynthia Torres took 2nd place in an impressive finish at the 9th Annual Foothill Invitational in Ontario, California. Torres, a sophomore, finished with a total time of 19:20, and a pace of 6:15, beating out the third place competitor by a mere 4 seconds. 

Golden West's Womens Cross Country team finished 7th overall with a total of 149 points. Running Rustler Katharine Pavloff finished second for Golden West with a time of 20:47, team mate Gabby Cotociu finished her race in 21:36. 

Pavloff was also nominated to the 2013 All-State Athletic Cross Country team, meeting the required 3.50 G.P.A, completing 24 units and participating in the 2012 season. Congratulations Katharine on this impressive academic and athletic achievement. 

Next, the women will play host at the Golden West Classic at Central Park in Huntington Beach. The first race will begin at 9:00am.
