Escondido, Calif. - Golden West started their season at the Palomar Invitation in Escondido, Ca last Friday.  The hot weather and grueling hills challenged the athletes but newcomer Raemah Goodwin ran a strong race.  She and sophomore Alexis Reyes finished the 5k course under 29 minutes.  Toni Lopez from Santa Ana College won the race in 19:11. Orange Coast won the women's team title with 48 points.

Next: The women will be running in the Golden West Invite on September 25th at 10:00am at Central Park in Huntington Beach.
