Huntington Beach, Calif. - Marikay Schwab earns Golden West College first ever women's cross country conference champion title at Friday's Orange Empire Conference (OEC) Championships.

Schwab set a new course and program record with a outstanding time of 17:49, she has also set the school record in the 6K earlier in the seaosn. Schwab was named the OEC Most Valuable Runner, which is also a first for the Golden West program.

Set as the favorite going into this Friday's SoCal Regional Championships in Bakersfield, Schwab will look to continue to break the records and capture titles.
