
Huntington Beach, Calif. - Golden West women's cross country's Tammy Ly has qualified for the 3C2A State Championships.
The freshman runner's performance at the 3C2A SoCal Regional Championship earned her a position at the State Competition. Ly finished the 5k course at El Dorado Regional Park in 64th place with a personal best time of 20:53.
In her previous runs, she placed 13th at the Orange Empire Conference Championships with a time of 21:47. Ly surpassed her own time by nearly a whole minute to push herself into the State Championship competition.
NEXT UP: Ly will now compete at the 3C2A State Championship on Saturday, November 18th. The meet will be held in Fresno at Woodward Park.
