The Rustlers routed Riverside City College 20-10 to be crowned Orange Empire Conference Champions. With the win, Golden West secures the No. 1 seed into the Southern California Championships. and will face the winner of OCC/Mt. SAC at 10:15am Friday morning.
Golden West jumped out early 1-0 scoring on their first possession just :13 seconds into the game and never looked back building a 6-2 first quarter lead. The Rustlers had 9 players score with sophomore Luca De Vivo leading all scorers with six. Fellow sophomore Kevin Oliveira added 4. The Rustlers were in control the entire match increasing their lead to a 10-4 at halftime and a nine point lead at the end of three (16-7) and as the final buzzer sounded the Rustlers remained undefeated in the OEC tournament since they were realigned into the conference in 2001.
NEXT: Golden West will travel back to Riverside for a 10:15am match agains the winner of OCC / Mt. SAC in the Southern California Regional Champions on November 11th
