Rustlers Sweep West LA for Second Win of the Season

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. – September 3, 2025 – The Golden West College women's volleyball team dominated from start to finish in a three-set sweep over West Los Angeles College, winning 25-9, 25-22, 25-8 on Wednesday evening inside the GWC Gym. With the victory, the Rustlers improve to 2-1 on the season, while the Wildcats drop to 1-4.

Golden West stormed out of the gate in the opening set, hitting .303 as a team and cruising to a 25-9 win. After West LA battled back to make the second set competitive, the Rustlers showed composure down the stretch to secure a 25-22 victory. In the third, Golden West delivered its most efficient performance of the night, hitting .500 en route to a convincing 25-8 finish.

The Rustlers finished with 39 kills, nine service aces, and 44 digs as a team, while holding West LA to a -.095 hitting percentage.
